- Angeles. Jordan had a classic actor's face, a warm baritone
- voice, and a sharp intelligence that informed all of his work,
- from his star-making performance as a ruthless Irish tycoon
- in the 1976 TV mini-series Captains and the Kings to his widely
- admired direction of Macbeth for the New York Shakespeare Festival
- in 1990. Jordan appeared in the feature films Interiors, The
- Hunt for Red October, The Friends of Eddie Coyle and the forthcoming
- Gettysburg as well as the recent made-for-TV movie The Murder
- of Mary Phagan.
