  16. Angeles. Jordan had a classic actor's face, a warm baritone
  17. voice, and a sharp intelligence that informed all of his work,
  18. from his star-making performance as a ruthless Irish tycoon
  19. in the 1976 TV mini-series Captains and the Kings to his widely
  20. admired direction of Macbeth for the New York Shakespeare Festival
  21. in 1990. Jordan appeared in the feature films Interiors, The
  22. Hunt for Red October, The Friends of Eddie Coyle and the forthcoming
  23. Gettysburg as well as the recent made-for-TV movie The Murder
  24. of Mary Phagan.
